An incorrect BIA Self-Governance Budget Summary was published in the
December issue of Siletz News. The correct budget is printed above.
Tribal members are encouraged to
take advantage of an online computer
software training program available free
of charge.
The tribe has purchased a number
of subscriptions to MySkilSource train
ing program, where tribal members can
access online training at your own pace
from your own home. MySkilSource
has a large number of software pro
grams and you can take one or all of
them as time permits.
Each software program is broken
into modules that you can complete at
your own pace. Once you complete an
entire training program, you can even
print out a certificate of completion.
You can go back and review each
program or move on to another software
program. MySkilSource includes most
of the widely used programs, such as
Microsoft Word, Access, Excel,
Powerpoint, and many more.
You will have approximately 10
months to complete all the trainings in
which you are interested. To be eligible
for the program, you must:
It’s that simple. We will pay the
subscription fee for your access. Cur
rently, more than 80 households have
signed up. Plenty more subscriptions
are available, but you have to hurry
before this offer ends.
Here is some feedback from a cur
rently enrolled tribal member:
“The learning offered through
MySkilsource is great! Attached is my
first certificate. Pretty cool, huh?”

a) Be an enrolled Siletz Tribal member
b) Have Internet access (sorry, we
can’t pay for that)
c) Send an e-mail request listing
your name and roll number to
tinar@ctsi.nsn.us and let me know
you are interested in the online
computer training program
