Motown Sound
Carvers Return [ Tribal Member
for Show and Sale । Business Owners
The 13th Annual Coastal Carvers
Show and Sale will be held at Chinook
Winds Casino Resort on Jan. 15-16.
This free art show will house doz
ens of fine wood carvers with their work
on display for enjoyment and purchase.
Demonstrations for children and
adult carvers will teach the aspiring
artists, as well lovers of the art. For
those interested in taking up carving or
replenishing their carving tool sets, sup
plies also will be available for sale.
Jerry Simchuk, an accomplished
caricature wood carver, is this year’s
featured artist. In just 10 years of com
peting in wood carving competitions,
Simchuk has placed in some of the most
prestigious contests, including the Ward
World Championships, where he also
has participated as a judge.
The 13th Annual Coastal Carvers
Show and Sale is an all-ages event that
is open to the public and free of charge.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 15
and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 16.
