Final Awards for Year
Tiffany Bellinger
Paloma Valley High School
Congratulations, Tiffany Bellinger, on your graduation from Paloma Valley
High School on June 4,2004. Your whole family wishes you continued success in
your education.
Tiffany is the granddaughter of Don Bellinger and the daughter of Greg and
Cindy Bellinger. We are all so proud of you. Good job, Tiffany!
Student Awards
Brett Butler
Reedsport HS
Brett is the son of Ella Butler-Fisher
and the grandson of Delmer and
Priscilla Butler of Reedsport, Ore.
Brett earned three varsity letters in
football. He was all-conference three
times and a first-team all state selection
as a junior and senior.
Brett lettered two years on the
varsity basketball team.
The senior right-hander is 3-0 with
an ERA of 0.00 in the Big Fir League.
He tossed a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts
and no walks on 78 pitches in an earlier
win over Myrtle Point. The only Bobcat
runner to reach base was a hit batsman
in the fourth inning. Brett also hit .412
in league contests.
Brett was selected the Big Fir Player
of the Year in baseball this season and
earned MVP honors. He lettered four
years on the varsity baseball team and
was all-conference his junior and
senior year.
We are proud of you, Brett! Best
wishes and lots of love from your
family in Reedsport and Siletz. Good
luck in your upcoming football season
at college.

Siletz Valley School would like to
thank all our volunteers who have helped
make the last three months a success!
In March, we had 59 volunteers and
156 hours. In April, we had 85 volun­
teers and 206 hours. In May, we had 65
volunteers and 166 hours.
Siletz Valley School would especially
like to thank Wade Newbegin, who has
dedicated numerous hours of volunteer
time, donations, and his support for the
children and staff throughout the whole
year; and Anna M. John for numerous
hours of volunteer time in our first-
grade class for the whole year.
We are very appreciative of all of
the time that you give to the school for
a better tomorrow. Thank you!

Congratulations to our graduates in
Reedsport - Trina Butler and Brett
On June 7, we had our last assembly
of the year with awards and gifts for all
students. We passed out our regular
awards for academic achievements,
citizenship, and positive behavior, and
our three regular backpacks for student
of the month.
In addition to the regular awards,
we handed out awards for passing or
exceeding benchmark tests and Fred
Meyer gift certificates for perfect
attendance. We had approximately nine
drawings for each class that consisted
of school supplies and books.
It has been a very exciting year for
us and we are very proud of all of our
students. We would like to thank our
parents for your support and for having
your children in school and on time.
The classroom teachers nominated
the following for student of the month:
Butler from Reedsport High and Nicole
Butler from the University of Oregon,
who earned a bachelor’s degree in
sociology with a minor in ethnic studies.

Congratulations to those individu­
als who passed the benchmark test for
reading and math. In our third-grade
class, 95 percent of our students passed
the reading test and 84 percent passed
the math test.
In our fourth-grade class, 62
percent of our students passed the
reading test and 63 percent passed the
math test. In our fifth-grade class, 61
percent of our students passed the
reading test and 88 percent passed the
math test. Congratulations!
