Welcome to the world - Jäiden Rose
Rablin on Feb. 26, 2004. Jäiden is the
daughter of Melissa Rose Williams and
Casey Rablin of Keizer, Ore.
Her proud grandparents are Mike
and Becky (Downey) Williams of
Molalla, Ore.; Margie Brown of Scotts
Mills, Ore.; and Matt Rablin of
Vancouver, Wash.; and great-grandpa
Roy Downey Jr. and great-grandma
Mary Jean (Speakman) King.
Jäiden weighed 8 pounds, 5.2 ounces,
and was 20 inches long. She’s a little
doll and we’re so excited that she’s here!

Iola Alfarata “Olie” Larson, 92, of
Forest Grove and Woodburn, died
March 3, 2004, at the French Prairie
Care Center in Woodbum.
Graveside services were held on
March 8 at the Forest View Cemetery
Mausoleum in Forest Grove. Entomb
ment followed at the cemetery.
Mrs. Larson was bom May 4,1911,
in Sunset Beach to Alfred and Nellie
(Jackson) Aasen. She was a member of
the Confederated Tribes of Siletz
Indians of Oregon. She was raised and
educated in Coos Bay and at Chemawa
Indian School in Salem.
She married Earl D. Edmonds, Sr.,
in February 1929. The couple had two
children. The family lived in North
Bend and Coos Bay until 1942, then
moved to Forest Grove. She was
preceded in death by her husband in
1948 after 19 years of marriage.
In May 1950, Mrs. Larson married
George A. Anderson in Forest Grove.
She was preceded in death by George in
October 1963 after 13 years of marriage.
Mrs. Larson married William A.
Larson in February 1979, and lived in
Aloha and Bandon before recently moving
carrier in Gaston, and finally retired
from Tektronix after 10 years.
Mrs. Larson was a member of the
First Christian Church in Forest Grove
and a member of the Pythian Sisters,
having served as a chief.
Mrs. Larson enjoyed crossword
puzzles, knitting, reading, crocheting,
and taking scenic drives.
She was preceded in death by her par
ents and two brothers, Oscar and Alfred.
Survivors include her husband;
daughter Uria Ann Fife of Georgetown,
Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Earl D.
Jr. and Mary Edmonds of Independ
ence; two stepchildren and their spouses,
Larry and Carole Larson of McMinn
ville and Linnea and Marty Edwards
of Newberg; nine grandchildren; 19
great-grand-children; and four great
great grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances

Chrystal Williams and Tyler
Lautenschlager would like to announce
the birth of their daughter, Rylee Nicole,
bom at 8:25 p.m. on March 1,2004.
She weighed 7 pounds, 11.6 ounces,
and was 21 inches long.

Siletz Valley School, a newly
formed charter school, has 164 students.
On the first Monday of every month at
our morning assembly, we select
students in grades K-8 to receive awards
for attendance, academic achievements,
citizenship, and positive behavior.
