Looking for a Few Good Homes
To foster: to bring up; nurture; to
promote the growth and development
of; cultivate; to nurse; cherish; to provide
parental care and nurture of children not
related through legal or blood ties.
The Indian Child Welfare Program
needs good homes for tribal children
within the 11-county service area.
Foster homes as well as relative homes
for relative placements are necessary to
provide children in need with the
parental care and nurturing that
promotes the growth and development
our tribal children deserve.
If you’re thinking of becoming a
foster parent or relative placement, or
just have questions, please contact
Bekki Johns at 1-800-922-1399,
ext. 338, or 541-444-8338. She’ll be
more than happy to provide you with
the application, assist you with any
questions, or inform you of programs
available that provide specialized foster
parent training.
