This photo by Wylie Eddings shows the ice that hit the city of Siletz during the
first week of January. Although the ice here didn't stick around nearly as long
as ice and snow did in the Willamette Valley, it was enough to make travel
along coastal roads hazardous and it shut down schools and
some businesses for a day.
