Culture Camp will be held at the Siletz Tribal Community Center/
Pow-Wow grounds. Activities include basketweaving, hand-drum making
demonstration, drumstick making, beadworking, shell necklace making,
traditional foods preparation, flintknapping, storytelling, T-shirt painting,
moccasin making, and recreational activities.
Overnight camping is available for families who live outside of Siletz.
All tipis have been checked out, so be sure to bring your tents, sleeping bags,
toiletries, etc. Campers can arrive on July 21, however, meals are not provided
on this day.
Registration will be held throughout the camp. Please phone the Cultural
office if you plan to attend or would like a registration form sent to you.
These forms also can be picked up at your local tribal office. This camp is
intended for tribal families and if children are under age 10, they must have
an adult chaperone.
