Elder Council Elects New Officers
At its January meeting, the Elder Council elected new officers.
Jean Garrett was elected vice chairman and Kay Steele was re-elected as
secretary. Emma Russell was elected to a treasurer position and Connie Hartt was
re-elected to a treasurer position. Shirley Walker is chairman.
Officers are elected every two years, with the exception of the chairman. A
new chairman is elected on the opposite year of the election of other officers,
which means this position will be up for re-election at the January 2004 meeting.
This follows the guidelines of the Elder Council’s policies and procedures.
The council would like to extend a big thank you to Albert Wallace, past vice
chairman, and Wayne Case, past treasurer.
