Income Limits Expand on Home
Rehab Grants
At the July regular meeting, Tribal Council approved the Over Income
Construction Rehabilitation Program Policy. This new program provides grants
of up to $5,000 to tribal households whose income exceeds the limits for other
tribal housing rehabilitation programs. Council budgeted $100,000 for this
new program.
Application must be received in our office by 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2002.
A lottery process will be used to determine the order in which applicants will be
served. Contact the Siletz Tribal Housing department at 1-800-922-1399 or
541-444-2532 to have an application mailed or faxed to you.
If you have any questions about the program or application, contact
Howard Roy, Housing Improvement Program coordinator, at 1-800-922-1399,
ext. 331 or 541-444-833.
Several children took advantage of youth activities sponored by the
Tobacco Prevention and Diabetes programs. A martial arts demonstration
kept them busy one afternoon, as did beach volleyball, swimming, and
rock climbing on other days.
