Jr. Miss Siletz Says Thanks
I, Tiffany Dawn Stuart, Jr. Miss Siletz 2001-2002, would like to say a big
thanks, first to Jesus. He died and saved my soul. God has blessed me with so
many gifts and I just want to praise God for his blessings to my family and me.
Next, I would like to thank my parents, Thomas and Marlene Stuart, for loving,
supporting, and driving me to all the
events. A big “thank you” to all my
family, for support, encouragement,
(sewing ... aye), gifts, and love.
This year has been a learning
experience for me. I thank the
Confederated Tribes of Siletz for
sponsoring my trip to Gathering of
Nations and buying beads for my sash.
I have traveled 12,640 miles

At these events, 1 danced, spoke, performed The Lord’s Prayer in Indian Sign
language and led social dances. You can see my participation in an event at www.
gatheringofnations.com/galleries/pow-wow02 on pages 12 and 50.
I believe having tribal royalty is a great way to inform Indian country and
communities about the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. I encourage any
eligible girl to be royalty. It’s an experience I will never forget.
