More than 100 competitors will take part in the 2002 NPC Oregon Ironman
Naturally - Bodybuilding, Women’s Fitness & Figure Championships on
May 18 in the showroom. This is the competition’s fifth year at Chinook Winds,
with bodybuilders from Alaska, Idaho, California, Oregon, and Washington.
This event is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee (NPC) and can
be enjoyed by the entire family.
The pre-judging event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until approximately I p.m.
The cost per ticket is $15 and these tickets will not be pre-sold. They will be on
sale at the door as early as 8 a.m. on May 18.
Pre-judging is where the actual judging is held and judges’ decisions are
made. It’s what can be termed the “bailgame.” This is where you’ II see the athletes
at their finest, sharpest condition.
The evening show is “Las Vegas” style reserved seating; $20 tickets are still
available. This is the festive, exciting finals, where athletes perform individually
designed routines and receive their awards. Trophies are presented to the “top
five” in each category.
Categories include all ages, from teen-age men to masters men and women,
novice and advanced men and women bodybuilders, as well as women’s fitness
and figure competitors.

Chinook Winds is offering a $1,500
grand prize, plus a variety of other gifts,
during its Mother’s Day promotion.
This is a one day only promotion with
ticket sweeps taking place throughout
the day in all areas of the casino on
May 12 only.
The drawing, which takes place at
6 p.m., will include gift certificates
from the Factory Stores @ Lincoln
City, jewelry, show tickets, and other
great prizes leading up to the grand
prize drawing for $1,500.
The buffet will feature a special
Mother’s Day brunch, while the Rogue
River Room will feature an a la carte
