Team
Siletz Tribal members Tim Viles and
Brad Darcy have joined the Chinook
Winds management team. Tim returns as
the chief financial officer and Brad is now
the compliance officer.
Prior to joining the casino, Tim
worked in the municipal, non-profit,
private, and Indian casino sectors as a
financial services manager, controller,
CFO, and tribal gaming monitor.
Tim graduated from Eastern
Oregon University in 1995 with a
bachelor’s degree in business/
economics and has obtained
certification as a CMA/CFM.
Brad was an original member of the
tribe’s Gaming Commission, estab
lished in April 1995. He became
Tim Viles
chairman of the commission in August
1997. Prior to that, Brad worked in
positions that varied from a surveyor
and firefighter for the Bureau of Land
Management to a legislative assistant
for the Oregon House of Representatives.
Brad graduated of Oregon State
University with a degree in political
science. He and his wife, Kim, have
two daughters, Nicole, 3, and Sarah,
two months.

Fourth Quarter 2001 Superstar
Chris Corlies of the Child Care/Arcade was selected as Chinook Winds
Casino’s Superstar for the fourth quarter of 2001.
Tribal elders, members of the Gaming Board of Directors, the Siletz Gaming
Regulatory Commission, Chinook Winds directors, and several members of the
casino staff were present at the Superstar ceremony on Jan. 24. In recognition of
his achievement, Corlies was presented with a check for $1,000 and a marble tile

Corlies received five separate
nominations from co-workers. Some of
their comments were “ ... (he) always
has a smile on his face and his customer
service is impeccable;” “ ... (he) is a
person that gets along with everyone and
is willing to go the extra mile; ” ”... (he)
shows a lot of patience and consideration
to all employees and customers; ” “ ...
(he has) a very positive attitude toward
everything and everyone. ”
Both casino staff and casino guests
can submit Superstar nominations.
With more than 700 employees and
only four of these awards given each
year, it’s a real honor to be chosen as
the Superstar.
