Su-’Zan is back by popular

at Chinook Winds Casino on
Wednesday through Saturday evenings
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
As her fingers dance across the
keyboard of her white piano, Su-’Zan
exudes elegance and creates a soothing
style of dinner music that adds a
flowing and mystical ambiance to the
evening meal. Romantic, lilting tones
float through the air, perfect harmonies
blending with the aroma of the
delectable entries produced by the chef.
Su-’Zan’s experience and talent are
evident in her presentation. Her
repertoire includes Broadway
musicals, Latin love songs, old
standards and new, everything from
Frank Sinatra to Elton John. She’s
traveled extensively and been employed
in a wide variety of capacities.
In Puerto Rico, she was a pianist,
piano instructor, talent coordinator, and
entertainment and stage director. In
Hawaii, she opened for celebrity
concerts, was a band leader, special

events director/producer, and youth
talent director. She’s been an assistant
with Dick Clark Productions and also
to Englebert Humperdinck, David
Hasselhoff, and Jane Kennedy. In
addition to all of that, Su-’Zan spent
time as a model and fashion director.
Su-’Zan is a certified image
specialist-consultant with specialized
training in music, psychology,
sociology, self-awareness, image,
fitness, nutrition, and related fields. All
of this contributes to the unsurpassed
quality of the music she performs.

Siletz Tribal member Renee
Metcalf, interim assistant Bingo
manager since October 2000, has been
hired as the Bingo manager for
Chinook Winds Casino.
Over the past 11 years, Renee has
worked for the Confederated Tribes of
Siletz Indians in numerous capacities,
including tribal administration and the
Siletz Tribal Smokehouse. She started
working for Chinook Winds in the
temporary facility in January 1996.
Formerly a member of the Human
Resources Department, Renee has established herself as a people person,
becoming a friendly face and a person with whom Chinook Winds guests enjoy
coming into contact.
As a member of the Siletz Tribe, Renee stated, “I have been given an excellent
opportunity to grow and truly feel that I am accomplishing major life goals. My
experiences are a great example of tribal enterprises and the direct positive
impacts they can have on tribal membership, when given the chance.”
In the brief time that Renee has managed the Bingo program, a number of
exciting changes have taken place, including the Las Vegas World Bingo
promotion, the All U Can Play Bingo sessions, and the monthly High Stakes
Bingo specials. Renee also is responsible for spearheading the monthly Benefit
Bingo fund-raisers that have contributed more than $10,000 in 2001 to local
charities that benefit youth and their various athletic activities.
$75,000 “Discover the
Diamonds” Slot Tournament
The buy-in is $150 and is now available for the slot tournament on Oct. 13-14.
The buy-in includes a special logo’d polo shirt and hotel room (based on
availability). All buy-ins will occur through the box office and the participant can
select from available tournament times at the time of purchase.
The rounds will begin each day at 1 p.m., with 20 minutes between each
round. The semi-final each day will begin at 5 p.m. On Oct. 14, the drawing for
the wild card names will take place at the conclusion of the semi-final round.
Machines will be assigned for the wild card round that will start at 5:30 p.m.
On Oct. 14, the final round will begin at 6 p.m. Seating will be decided by random
drawing. The awarding of prizes will take place at the conclusion of the final round.
There will be 27 rounds (12
qualifying rounds each day, 1 semi-final
round each day, 1 championship round
(Oct. 14) of 12 participants, with the
winner of each round progressing to the
semi-final round each day. The top six
finishers from each semi-final round
will move on to the championship
