Nearly six acres of the 11 acres purchased
are now under construction for much-
needed additional casino parking.
Devil’s Lake Rock Company
received the contract for the expansion,
which will add more than 800 spaces
to the existing lot. Bus shelters will be
strategically placed for the convenience
of casino guests.
Exceeding
Lincoln
City
requirements, 36 percent of the property
will remain in its natural habitat.
The Siletz Tribe and Devil’s Lake
Rock Company, however, have taken
their environmental commitment one
step further.
Provisions have been made for the
wood products that are removed from
the property to be 100 percent recycled.
A forest products recovery system will
be brought in to grind all of the
otherwise unusable wood products. This
will then be used for erosion control and
garden mulch, or mixed with other
components to become gardening soil.
The project should be completed by
the end of August.
