Wells Fargo Mortgage
Gena Pegg has been in the lending business since 1987. She works
exceptionally well with first-time homebuyers. She specializes in
construction perm loans, FHA, VA, conventional, and many other creative
financing options.
Gena has worked very well with many Siletz Tribal members in
helping them achieve their dream of buying their first homes. She is very
familiar with the NAHASDA Finance Program as well as many other
homebuying assistance programs.
Loan approval within five minutes of application, quick closings,
and excellent customer service are Gena’s goals and ... reality!
Contact Gena for a free consultation. Find out if you qualify and
what all of your financing costs will be. It’s okay to compare, but remember
that if it sounds “too good to be true,” it probably is! Gena will make sure
that at closing, you won’t be caught paying more than was originally
disclosed at application. You can contact Gena at 580 State St., Salem,
OR 97308; 503-945-2326; e-mail gpegg@mortgage.wellsfargo.com .
Majestic Mortgage
Majestic Mortgage, a Portland-area firm specializing in creative
lending, has positioned itself as a resource for Indian Housing Authorities.
Liz Hamilton (Choctaw/Cherokee) works with first-time homebuyers,
plus debt consolidation and refinance clients, utilizing the first-time
homebuyer assistance program offered to tribal members under HUD’s
Indian Housing Block Grant program.
While many lenders struggle with how to structure the NAHASDA
grant money toward down payments, Majestic Mortgage has adapted
program guidelines to fund quickly and efficiently.
Despite credit challenges such as bankruptcy, Majestic can refinance
the existing loan and pull cash out for a number of uses, such as debt
consolidation, home improvements, vacations, or working capital for a
business. Investment properties can either be owner or non-owner occupied.
For the self-employed, Majestic has non-income verifying home loans
and SB A financing available. Most pre-qualifications are done in 24 hours
and there is no charge for the initial call.
Majestic Mortgage is an equal opportunity lender and can originate
home loans in any state where licensing laws allow. Contact Liz at
1-800-579-8222, ext. 552, or page her at 503-955-0772.
These two mortgage companies should not, in any way, be considered
the only mortgage companies tribal members can use. The Siletz Tribal
Housing Finance Program does not endorse any particular company.
Tribal members should contact Dave Litchy or Bunni Snook at
1-888-870-9051 or 503-304-4064. Real estate transactions take time.
You should apply for down payment assistance before applying for a
first mortgage!
Additional services provided by the Finance Program include
homebuyer education, credit consulting, down payment grants, and advice
in most any area of financing and credit. Finance Program staff members
are always happy to answer questions and look for solutions to credit,
mortgage, and loan problems. They will refer to other community resources
as needed and can assist tribal members living anywhere in the
United States
