“Artistry in
Wood” Show
and Sale
The Coastal Carvers of
Lincoln City invite you to their
ninth annual “Artistry in Wood”
show and sale on Jan. 20-21 at
Chinook Winds Casino. The free art
show will have more than 60
exhibitors with fine wood carvings
on display for the public to enjoy.
Supplies for the hobbyist or
professional as well as the carvings
on exhibit will be for sale.
Aspiring artists and the casual
observer will enjoy carving
demonstrations both days. On Jan.
20 at 11a.m., Bill Hayden will show
his expertise in “Character
Carvings”; at 1 p.m., Tina Toney
will share her talent with Santa
Clause carvings; and at 3 p.m.,
Everett Koontz will do a carving
demonstration for kids. Jan. 21
features Sam Riley at 10 a.m.
teaching “How to Sharpen Tools”
and Everett Koontz at 1 p.m. with
a carving demonstration for kids.
Featured artist for this year’s
show is multi-talented Salem native
Larry Deedon. His 25-year
participation in woodcrafting can
be attributed to his grandfather, who
got him interested in woodworking.
Items will be raffled
throughout both days. A portion of
the proceeds will be donated to
local non-profit organizations.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on
Jan. 20 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
