Players Needed for Spring Break
Basketball Tournament
On March 23-25, 2001, the Housing Residents Organization of the
Siletz Tribe will host what is hoped to be an annual open basketball
tournament.
This tournament will consist of three brackets and will be co-ed.
Grades 4-6, grades 7-9, and grades 10-12 will make up the three brackets,
with eight players on each team. There will be jackets and a trophy for the
winning team in each bracket, hooded sweatshirts and a trophy for second
place, and T-shirts and a trophy for third place. We also hope to pick an
MVP and five all-stars in each bracket.
To be eligible to participate, a player must be of Indian descent or
live on an Indian reservation or in Indian housing.
The Residents Organization is made up of concerned families who
live in the various tribal housing units. Please contact C.W. Case Sr. at

Oregon State University will host a “Kaleidoscope of Colleges and
Cultures” on Jan. 13 to give college-bound students of color a chance to
experience the academic and cultural atmosphere of the OSU campus.
All activities are free to prospective students.
