It’s Happening at Chinook Winds ...

Head for the Rogue
Harvey Reynolds (I), with Gerald Ben of
the Gaming Board of Directors, won $500
following the Freddy Fender show in June.
I was more than a little delighted when
I recently sat down in the Rogue River
Restaurant and Lounge and checked out the
menu. Not only does the restaurant have the
most fantastic view to be found on the
Oregon Coast, but also the menu offers the
most affordable fine dining in this area.
Bob Knight, manager of the Rogue
River Restaurant, also has developed a
children’s menu to add more appeal for
families who want to have a special night
out. Just check out these entrees...

give out. T-shirts, beads, key lights, troll
daubers (in Bingo) mini-fans, and mini
screwdriver sets were among the items.
We’ve been giving out colored beads at the
last several promotions and people can’t
seem to get enough of them!
Commemorative coins also were on
sale at the cash cage. They are retired now,
so if you have one, hold on to it. It will be a
collector’s item.
On page 23, you will find an article on
the tribal reception held Saturday afternoon.
I was told that approximately 600 people
showed up to enjoy the hors d’ oeuvres,
displays, video, and presentations. Also, one
of our employees, Karen Van Der Zanden,
facilities supervisor, made a quilt just for this
event and donated it to be raffled off during
the program. This is the second year she
has made this generous donation.
