OCCC and Navy Sponsor Blood Drive
Oregon Coast Community College, in collaboration with the local Navy
Recruitment Station, will sponsor a blood drive on March 2 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
at the college’s Newport Center.
According to the Red Cross, 97 percent of U.S. residents will need a blood
transfusion in their lifetime, yet only 5 percent of eligible people donate blood. OCCC
and the Navy Recruitment Station want to encourage everyone to contribute to an
