The Kitty Wells Family
Show Set to Perform
The Kitty Wells Family Show,
featuring Kitty Wells, Johnny Wright,
Bobby Wright, and the Tennessee
Mountain Boys, along with Johnny
Counterfit and Johnny Russell, will
present
a
full-scale
country
extravaganza on Feb. 25 and 26.
Kitty Wells is known worldwide as
“The Undisputed Queen of Country
Music, a title bestowed upon her after
her 1952 recording of “It Wasn’t God Who
Made Honky Tonk Angels” made her the
first female to have a No. 1 record on the
country music charts. Since then, she’s
had an amazing 23 No. 1 records.
Johnny Wright performed as half
of the singing duo “Johnny and Jack,”
well-known all over the world from the
’40s through the ’60s for their hit
recordings, including “Stop the World
and Let Me Off,” “Oh Baby Mine,” “Don’t
Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes,” “Ashes
of Love,” and many others.
Bobby Wright, son of Kitty Wells
and Johnny Wright, is one of America’s
most versatile performers.
As a young adult, he was seen
by millions as “Willie” on the highly rated
series McHale s Navy.” His versions of
“Seasons in the Sun,” “Everybody Needs
a Rainbow,” and “Baby’s Gone” were
chart-making hits for ABC.
Johnny Counterfit, country
comedian and singing impressionist, is
well-known on the country music circuit
for his voice and singing impressions of
some of the most famous singers and
actors of yesterday and today, along with
voices of politicians past and present.
Johnny Russell is a singer/
songwriter/comedian whose million­
selling classics have been recorded by
everyone from Dolly Parton to Burl Ives
to The Beatles. Who can forget “Act
Naturally,” which was made famous by
Buck Owens and later released by The
Beatles on their “Help” album.
Get ready to enjoy two nights of
the best mix of country/western
entertainment to be found this side of the
Grand Ole Opry. Performances begin at
8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $15 to
$30, depending on seat location.

Poker League Gets Started
The Chinook Winds Winter Poker League is off and running. We have 10
teams with two members each playing in weekly timed tournaments to try to win
their share of a $2,000 prize.
Teams are awarded points each week, determined by how they place in
each tournament. At the end of 10 weeks, each team’s points will convert to a cash
value and they will receive cash based on points won during the season.
This is the first time that this type of in-room league has been offered and

2000 brings back our monthly Free Roll Tournaments on the fourth Sunday
of each month. The first 25 players can sign up a free entry into this tournament All
they must do is sign up in the poker room at the beginning of that week, starting at
4 p.m. on that Monday. Daily tournament players who play in the Free Roll will
receive an extra $10 in tournament chips for each tournament they plav
in that month.

This tournament is a $1,000 guaranteed event and does offer two re-buys at
$25 and $20. The game offered will vary from month to month.
Tahoe Hi Lo Split has been added to our list of daily tournaments and will
be played on Tuesdays. Cost for daily tournaments is $15 with two $5 re-buys.
The Texas Hold-Em No Limit Tournament still occurs on the first and second
Sundays of each month at 6 p.m., with a $35 buy-in and two $10 re-buys.
On the third Sunday of each month at 6 p.m., another tournament takes place,
with a $35 buy-in and two $20 re-buys. February will feature Omaha Hi Lo Split
and again, this tournament will feature a different game each month. Contact the
poker room for details.
