Position: Data Entry Technician Patient Accounts Supervisor $24,533 annually Siletz, Oregon Minimum Requirements: Associate’s degree in Health Services, Office Administration, or related field; and two years of medical office experience OR-an equivalent combination of specialized experience and post high school education. Specialized experience is experience, which is directly related to the position being filled. Knowledge and ability to maintain medical codes involving selection of most accurate and descriptive code using the ICD-9-CM and IHS coding conventions. Knowledge of medical terminology including anatomy and physiology, prefixes, suffixes, standard abbreviations, and pharmaceutical terminology. Computer skills with specific knowledge of data base applications, RPMS experience preferred. Ability to organize and handle a large volume of work. Ability to produce all computer-generated reports to IHS, the Clinic and the Siletz Tribe. Ability to work with a wide variety of people, and able to communicate effectively and relate to clinic support staff. Ability to sit for long periods of time, inputting data from several sources. Ability to work under strict timeframes. Ability to use medical references independently. Ability to adhere to stringent Confidentiality guidelines and procedures. Responsible to analyze and interpret medical information on the PCC encounter form, accurately utilizing the PCC automated encoder, in order to select the most accurate and descriptive ICD-9-CM code. Supervisor Salary: I ocation OPENING DATE: CLOSING DATE: Position Title: 9/28/98 10/9/98 Optometry Assistant - Part-time Optometrist/Clinic Director Siletz, Oregon $10.61 per hour Responsibilities: Assists the Optometrist with patient scheduling and eye examination. Responsible for ordering vision prescriptions, routine laboratory procedures, daily bookkeeping tasks, dispensing of vision accessories, maintenance of optometry room including updating inventory. Development and maintenance of Optometry policies and procedures, charting of patient records, supply orders, and assisting Optometrist as needed. Supervisor Location: Salary: Minimum Requirements: High school or GED. Two years experience dealing with the public - OR - an equivalent combination of specialized experience and post-high school education. OPENING DATE: CLOSING DATE: -8- 10/26/98 11/13/98 Position Title: Supervisor: Location: Salary: Administrative Assistant Administrative Officer Siletz Community Health Clinic, Siletz, Oregon $22,076 annually Minimum Requirements: Completion ofhigh school or GED, with a minimum of three years experience in an administrative, professional, or technical capacity, preferably in a medical or business office, -OR- an equivalent combination of specialized education and experience. Demonstrated experience as a team member. Must be able to type 40 words per minute, and have demonstrated computer and calculator skills. Ability to work with a wide variety of people and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to cross train in a variety of areas including billing, data entry, registration, medical records, and reception. Must be a well-organized self-starter, with ability to adapt to changes in assignments and work priorities. Must adhere to the confidentiality of information and individuals as describe in the CTSI Manual and federal law. Valid Oregon State Driver’s license and automobile insurance. Major Duties: Collect, analyze, and prepare data for reports. Track, monitor, and report expenditures. Assist clinic personnel with special clinic events and activities. Monitor inventories and maintain inventory controls. Act as liaison for Tribal Work programs. Assist with quality assurance and computer site managing activities. Prepare and update operating policies and procedures. Assist in the formulation of annual program budget preparation. Assist in the development of on-site training activities. Participate in the team orientation of new employees. Serve on assigned committees. Draft, edit, and type documents. Maintain filing system. Provide back up to clinic support staff. OPENING DATE: CLOSING DATE: 10/29/98 11/13/98 Job Title: Publication Specialist General Manager $24,533 annually Siletz, Oregon Supervisor: Salary: Location: Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree with extensive coursework in graphic design, communications, journalism, or technical writing and one year experience in a position that required extensive writing, -OR- high school diploma/G.E.D. and three years experience in gathering, designing, writing, and producing a document comparable to the Siletz Tribal Newspaper. Requires thorough knowledge of publication design and understanding of proper use of the English language. Knowledge of desktop publishing software, word-processing, and graphics. Prefer experience with Adobe Page Maker 6.5, Photoshop, and Career Scan Software. Ability to type 45 w.p.m. Skill in the use of 35 mm camera. Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends. Valid Oregon State Driver's license and automobile insurance. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for producing the Siletz Tribal Newspaper and other Tribal informational documents.
