SILETZ RESTORATION POW-WOW On November 21,1998, the Siletz Tribe will hold their annual Restoration Pow-Wow at Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City. The public is invited to attend, with Grand En'ry at 6 pm in the Convention Center. Other employees nominated to receive the superstar award were: Todd Mason: Cage Don Hopkins: Security Kim Osborn: Housekeeping Jerry Marzan: Transportation Ray Duarte: Utilities Enter the “SlotFrenzy” Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.... Ifyou’re itching to get into a tournament, here’s your chance! Chinook Winds VLT department is hosting “SlotFrenzy" tournaments Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the gaming floor through December 18 Rounds will take place at 9am, 1 Oam, 11 am, 1 pm and 2pm. The winner of each round will receive half of that rounds total buy-in (each buy-in is $20) and a slot in the 6pm daily tournament. The winner of the 6pm daily tournament wins one-quarter of the days total buy-in and a slot in the year end “SlotFrenzy” tournament. Call for details 1-888- CHINOOK. Events in Convention Center Nov. 8: Chippendale Dancers, 8-11pm Nov. 14&15: LC Chamber Holiday Showcase Nov 21 : Restoration Pow Wow Sunday afternoon registration takes place at 2pm for the 3pm tournament. The entry fee is $20 with a re-buy for $20 (1 re-buy only). All entries and re-buy money will be returned in prize money to the top three players. All players making it to the final table will receive a complimentary buffet dinner for two. Big Band November Performance Cancelled Due to scheduling conflicts, the November Big Band event with Ted Herman & His Orchestra featuring Abe Most and String of Pearls is hereby cancelled. A 1999 schedule for upcoming big band/ swing dance events will be announced later. Please communicate our apologies for any inconvenience to those who have already made their reservations. Charlie Navarro, Arlissa Rhoan, Theresa Collins and Tracie Cherney of Chinook Winds Human Resources FABULOUS 50’s PROMOTION Human Resources staff members Charlie Navarro, Arlissa Rhoan, Theresa Collins and Tracie Cherney shared first place in the Fabulous 50’s Employee Costume Contest or their “Team Spirit." Second place winner was Danielle Hrabel from Food & Beverage. Mike Blacketer from the VLT Department and dealer Janet Baca tied for third place. Congratulations to all the winners. The overwhelming response of the staff made this year’s contest a lot of fun for everyone and a real success. The Chinook Winds “Magicians of More” were a big hit on the casino floor during Miss those Sunday dinners at Grandma’s house? Ham, beef, and turkey with all the trimmings are the Sunday fare in the buffet at Chinook Winds Casino. Treat yourself to some down home cookin’ from 2 to 10 pm, all you can eat for $8.99. Chinook Winds is cookin’ up a Texas style barbeque every Saturday from 4:30 to 10 pm in the buffet...all you can eat for $ 10.99. Rise early or sleep late, you’ll be on time for the Sunday Brunch at Chinook Winds Casino Buffet served from 7 am to 2 pm for the low price of $5.99. Chinook Winds has had such an overwhelming response to the $ 1.99 Tuesday Senior Breakfast in the buffet that Chef Whiffen has decided to go one step further. He has always worked very hard on the high traffic areas in the employee hallways. Fernando was not just nominated by one employee but by over 60 employees! Fernando has taken an area that was not always the most clean and made it sparkle without one word of complaint Each Monday night in the lounge enjoy draft beer in a 13 oz. Chinook Winds sports mug for $5. Keep the mug and pay only $1 for refills. Prize drawings for up to $ 100 in cash will take place at the end of each quarter with the winners name to be entered into a drawing for two tickets to a Seahawks Game. the Fabulous 50’s celebration as they did the Conga through the Casino passing out chocolate coins, dancing with the guests, leading chants of “More!” and awarding money to the players. Chinook Winds employees who received the superstar award for June, July, and August were: Jason Hagstrom- Jason assisted a patron that was having a minor heart attack in the buffet. He gave her a glass of water and called security as soon as the woman had a problem. His quick response helped to save the woman’s life. James Caba- James is the Sous Chef that is in charge of the High Stakes Parlor near the Winner Circle area. He has gone the extra mile to assure that the food in the parlor is fresh and well presented. Jim works extra hard to make the patrons experience with the food a very positive one. Monday nights Chinook Winds is the place to be for some serious football. Snacks, drawings, a big screen TV and, best of all, the company of devoted football fans like yourself will make every Monday night a night to look forward to. What's Cookin’? Blackjack Tournaments Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday It’s easy and it’s fun to take part in the weekly tournaments. Registration starts at 6pm Tuesday and Thursday evening for tournament action beginning at 7pm. The entry fee is $20, re-buy at $20 (1 re-buy only). All entries and re-buy money returned to top three players in prize money plus $100 added by Chinook Winds to the prize fund.
