We,encourage clients to ask for a Housing Improvement Program application if you live outside the service area, in order to et us know you are out there, The logistics are not com pleteon our construction processes. We have not worked through the administration process completely, so please be patient. More information to follow in upcoming newsletters. There may be a new funding source from NAHASDA for the rehabilitation o f Siletz Tribal Member housing units without restrictions to geographical location. This is the first time we have had a program that would allow the Siletz Tribal members housing needs to be addressed outside the 11-county service area since Tribal restoration. The application w ill be incorporated into the current H ousing Improvement Program application. IDEAS AND FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES There are still matching funds available for people who own their own home and have a very low to low income as specified by FmHA. Please contact us at the HIP Program on how to access these funds, these funds are for tribal member HIP clients with houses residing in the Lincoln County area only.
