Position Title: Supervision: Salary: Location: Physical Therapist Assistant Physical Therapist Negotiable Siletz, Oregon M inimum R equirements: Currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State o f Oregon. Ability to work with a wide variety o f people and able to communicate effectively and relate to tribal and community members, and other staff, and understand medical terminology and how it applies to physical therapy. Ability to perform in situations requiring direction, control, or planning o f an activity or the activities o f others to initiate and conduct therapy program. Must adhere to the confidentiality o f information and individuals as described in thé CTSI Manual o f Policies and Procedure, state and federal law. Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license and have use o f personal, reliable transportation. Administers or assists with diagnostic evaluation and restorative care. Assists with administering therapy programs for patients, involving physical means such as exercise, massage, heat, light, hydrotherapy and electrical stimulation as pre scribed by the physician, performs other treatment procedures such as diathermy and ultrasound. OPENING DATE: 8/31/98 CLOSING DATE; 10/30/98 Position Title: Mapping Technician Supervisor: Natural Resources Manager Location: Siletz Salary: $24,533 Annually Minimum Requirem ents: Associate’s Degree in Forest Technology or Cartography with one year experience in computer aided mapping —OR — high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years o f experience in computer aided mapping. Proficiency in the use o f the following computer software: AutoCAD, ArcCAD, and Arc View. Proficiency in the use of ArcINFO or PC ArcINFO software may be substituted for proficiency in ArcCAD. Proficiency in the use o f other computer aided drafting or GIS software may be substituted for any o f the above if the software is similar in function and use to the above listed software. Working knowledge o f GIS concepts and fundamentals, including the ability to develop, organize, maintain, store, retrieve and manipulate GIS digital data to meet the needs o f the Natural Resources Department and other tribal programs. Experience in the use o f GPS. receivers and differential correction o f data in order to collect raw field data for input into GIS system. The physical ability to ascend and descend steep slopes and a willingness to work in heavy brush and inclement weather is also required in order to collect the necessary raw field data. Familiarity with the use o f aerial photos and with property legal description and surveying terminology in order to provide the necessary product outputs. Must be a well organized self-starter, with the ability to communicate and work well with others to meet the needs o f various tribal programs. Must adheïe to the confidentiality o f information and individuals as described in the CTSI Manual and federal law. Must possess a current, valid Oregon State driver’s license and insurance coverage. Has primary responsibility for the maintenance and implementation o f the tribal GIS system, providing mapping and GIS support to tribal programs. Opening Date: 9/14/98 Closing Date: 10/9/98 Position Title: Tribal Custodian Location: Confederated Tribes o f Siletz, Siletz, Oregon Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor Salary: $22,076 annually M inimum Requirem ents: High school diploma or GED, with one year experience in a custodial, maintenance, or related field. Must be physically able to safely and efficiently perform the duties o f the position. Must be able to lift heavy items, and stand and move about for long periods o f time. Must be able to adhere to stringent safety requirements. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to operate hand and electrical, tools necessary for custodial and basic maintenance activities (i.e. floor cleaning machines, etc.) Ability to be flexible to meet any changes in work requirements and schedules. Must possess First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to acquire certification. Must be able to adhere to confidentiality o f information and individuals as described in the CTSI Manual and federal law. Ability to interpret instructions and specifica tions, both oral and written. Ability to get along well with co-workers and public. Employee must be able to work early morning or late night hours, and occasionally on weekends. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have use o f a personal, reliable vehicle. Performs various cleaning and light maintenance activities in all Siletz Tribal facilities, including the clinic. OPENING DATE: 9/21/98 CLOSING DATE: 10/9/98 -1 8 - Position: Data Entry Technician Supervisor: Patient Accounts Supervisor Salary: $24,533 annually Location: Siletz, Oregon Minimum Requirement: Associate’s degree in Health Services, Office A d m i n - istration, or related field; and two years o f medical office experience —OR-an equivalent combination o f specialized experience and post high-school educa tion. Specialized experience is experience, which is directly related to the position being filled. Knowledge and ability to maintain medical codes involv ing selection o f most accurate and descriptive code using the ICD-9-CM and IHS coding conventions. Knowledge o f medical terminology including anatomy and physiology, prefixes, suffixes, standard abbreviations, and p h a r m a - ceutical terminology. Computer skills with specific knowledge o f data base applications, RPMS experience preferred. Ability to organize and handle a large volume o f work. Ability to produce all computer-generated reports to IHS, the Clinic and the Siletz Tribe. Ability to work with a wide variety o f people, and able to communicate effectively and relate to clinic support staff. Ability to sit for long periods o f time, inputting data from several sources. Ability to work under strict timeframes. Ability to use medical references independently. Ability to adhere to stringent Confidentiality guidelines and procedures. Responsible to analyze and interpret medical information on the PCC encounter form, accurately utilizing the PCC automated encoder, in order to select the most accurate and descriptive ICD-9-CM code.
