Page 5 Programs Siletz News Portland area office news in brief Community Health Nicole Potter has stocked the CHR office with common over-the-counter medications most frequently requested by clients, such as cold remedies. Nicole is continuing training for Wish-HIV/ AIDS Awareness on February 4, 11, and 21 in Eugene. Diane Robertson is available to clients by appointment. Angela Ramirez conducts intakes on Mon-Thurs for clients entering the ESP program. Intakes must be scheduled with Angela in advance. Both staff will be in Eugene on February 11-13 for ESP/TANF training. Their goal is to make the program a great resource for their clients. Elder Activities Office staff will provide a potluck luncheon for elders oh February 26 at 12:00 NOON. Plans are being made for elders to travel to Siletz for the General Council meeting and to Chinook Winds for the Star Luncheon. Supplemental Education Lori Johnson will soon be providing services for the Adult Vocational Training and Higher Education programs, in addition to Children and Adult Ed. Lori is coordinating the evening tutoring sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, and the computer classes on Sundays. The Supplemental Ed. Program is in revision of the component formerly known as JOM. To better focus on the academic success of Siletz tribal member students, the following services will be provided to Siletz-enrolled children between the ages of preschool and high school: tutoring, preschool assistance, enrichment, and education support services. Pequot pharmacy services for all tribal members SHANNON CASE Contract Health Administrator Pequot Pharmaceutical Network (PRxN) became the Confederated Tribes o f Siletz Indians pharmacy benefit administrators. Please call (800) 628-5720 for an individual health application if you have not received your card. Cards are being returned to the office because of insufficient address. Please enroll if you have not done so. P or Contract H ealth eligible members, if you have not received a card please call and inquire why you have not been sent a card. You are required to use this service for all your pharmacy needs outside the clinic. Any non-tribal member who is CHS eligible will not receive a card, but will be covered under the same plan number as the CHS eligible person, with their own social security number. Please call Contract Health if you have any questions. For tribal members living out side the 11-county service delivery area> a cap of $400.00 per calendar year has been set. The tribe hopes to expand its services each year, depending on the amount used this year. The total amount appro priated for calendar-year 1998 is $100,000.00.
