musician and former co-star of the
Nickelodeon sitcom “ Drake & Josh,”
performed at the Bit House Saloon
on February 6 to a 21+ audience of
roughly 50 people. Tickets were
a slick $20 and in'-return Bell
performed a number of hits that
paved the way of his career including
“ Found a W ay,” “ Makes Me Happy”
and an acoustic cover o f hi! Pump’ s ,
“ Gucci Gang.” He performed with
only a guitar and - keyboard and
played with ease to an ecstatic
audience of young adults^ After
pulling some strings and tapping
some shoulders I had a chance to ask
a few brief questions to the talented
musician and gain some insight on
his passion for music.
Drake & Josh aired from 2004 to
2007 and in that time,it amassed a
vast cult following, much like the
long list o f other shows Nickelodeon
brought to life such as Avatar,
Invader Zim, SpongeBob and many
more. While both brothers deserve
credit for the shows success, Bell
brought a musical element to the
show that put it a step above the
rest. He wrote and performed the
famous intro to “ Drake & Josh,”
and a number of his other tracks
have been featured in the show.- He
has also released several. singles

Community College wants to increase tuition
again.
The college, is proposing an $8-pep-credit
increase, which would go into effect beginning
summer term, meaning a four-credit class
would cost $444. Currently, one credit at CCC
costs $103, making a typical four-credit class
$412, not including fees and books.
On Feb. 4, Alissa Mahar, vice president of
College Services, told the President’ s Council
that the college needs to charge more.
The school board of education will hear the
proposal at its Feb. 12 meeting and vote on the
plan at a later meeting. “ We start by making
a recommendation and take it from there,”
Mahar said.
As of right now, the college is not
recommending an increase to international or
out of state tuition, though fees are likely to
rise as well. The general student fee could go
up from $2.50 to $3, the technology fee could
go up from $5.50 to $6 and the college services
fee would increase $2 per term to $30.
“ The fees don’t bring in a ton of moneys”

If the increase is approved, tuition will be
177% more than 20m when one credit was
$40.
