What’s going on?
New board m em ber appointed
In December 2018, Ron Adams
retired, leaving a position
open bn th e C la ck a m a s
Community College Board of
Education. The position has
been filled by Betty Reynolds,
retired state executive apd
long-tim e member o f public
education. The position is
dedicated to representing the
West Linn-Wilsonville district
among the board. She is still
serving on the W est L in n -
Wilsonvilie School Board and
will continue to until June 30,
2019.
P re s id e n ts Day H oliday
Every y ear, on the third
Monday of February, many of
us get a day o ff. On FOb. 18,
the college will be closed in
honor of Presidents Day. But
the college isn’t the only place
that’ s going to be closed; the
U .S. Postal Service and banks
will be closed down, the DMV
and courts will not be open,
as well as stock markets and
schools. Grocery stores will
be open and most retail stores
even hold Presidents Day sales!
