Half Penny Lager
- Corny, late in taste; a light bodied beer. A drink for
someone who doesn't like beer.
Black Hohl, 6.1 ABV
- More balanced than the Black Hohl Son, it's medium
bodied with equal parts hoppiness and malty sweetness.
- “ The Black Hohl was sort o f my tried and true home
recipe foryears. I like dark beers and I like hoppy beers,
and it was my attempt to marry the two flavors together.”
- Tim Hohl
Black Hohl Son, 4.8 ABV
- Chocolaty, full bodied, hoppy. Very rich.
Nine Eyes IPA, 6.6
- Light bodied, hoppy, sweetness at the end.
A classic IPA.
Heads Red, 4.8 ABV
- Full bodied; a typical red ale. It has a pungent
aroma that is complemented by sweetness.
Pie Hohl, 6.0 ABV
- A black currant beer. Full Bodied. My least f
avorite from Coin Toss, and o f the night.
Honest Ale, 6.1
- A light bodied, honey tasting ale. Not as sweet as
the average blonde, which may be an upside for
many drinkers.
- “ The Honest Ale was one of the first beers we made as
a commercial brewery. That is based on a beer brewed
by George W ashington. All the founding fathers were
brewers.” — Hohl
8-Bit Blonde, 4.8 ABV
- My favorite of the evening. Light bodied, it goes down
easy, and it tastes so much like honey you'd want to put
it on your cereal.
Brigid’s Irish Red, 5.0 ABV
- Travels to the nose. Had the typical potpourri-like
flavors o f a red, but was more tame and
drinkable than the Heads Red at Coin Toss.
Pioneer Pale Ale, 4.8 ABV
- Sweet and well rounded. “ When I think of a good
beer, I think of th is,” was the photographer’s input.
Cherry Wheat, 5.0 ABV
- Not as sweet as you'd think. The cherry was very
muted. It was like the brewer was scared of the sweet
he was adding, and made a muted, lackluster brew.
Dissin’ Terry Porter 4.8 °fo
- Pretty good, a mudium bodied porter.
Pabst Blue Ribbon, 5.0 ABV
- My beer of choice when I was “ ahem ” younger. Cold,
it can be refreshing and light. Warm, it tastes like a
hangover.

Ruby, 4.0 ABV
- Possibly too sweet for some, the
raspberry is strong with this one. I
enjoyed it as I found it to be unique
among all the beers I drank.
Purple Haze, 4.0 ABV
- A beer for Jim i Hendrix him self.
Same as the ruby it's fruit flavored,
but with boysenberries. It's more
tart, but in a pleasant way.
Terminator Stout, 4.0 ABV
- This stout is a rich m alt. If you
enjoy Guinness, look to this beer
to satisfy-your darker, sm okier
dreams. You can almost chew this
thing.
Cider, 6.5 ABV
- This is m y favorite cider. It's
not too sweet and goes down like
a soda. Three o f these and you
shouldn't be driving anywhere.
Opposite, Matt Rowning drinks his first beer of many to come. Top right, Tim Hohl pours the
flight of eight beers for the sample tray.
