Flaming Dr. Pepper
To be completely honest, the Flaming Dr. Pepper was one of
the first drinks I ever made for myself when I turned 21.1 had
gone into a bar and asked them whi would be fun drink to try and
Are you as ready for spring break as I am? If so, I think that
you should put some serious thought into what your plans are for
that wonderful yet terrifyingly short break from studies. What
better way to pass the time than to try some of these outstanding
drinks?
The drinks I have chosen are amazing cocktails that have
fallen out of favor with the younger drinkers out there, but these
oldies-but-goodies are sure to make you glad you tried them. So,
in a way, this is a “remember when ...’’land of thing.
Layer (in order) the Bailey’
and the Jameson into a diot glas
and then drop the shot inters glas
of Guinness and chug.

The Oatmeal Cookie
The Oatmeal Cookie is one of the great dessert shots. Based
off the ingredients you wouldn’t suspect that you would be able
to get the flavor of an honest-to-God oatmeal cookie out of them,
but you can.

make myself and the bartender told me about this scorcher.
WARNING: Be careful when preparing this drink, when you
play with fire you might get burned.
Four Horsemen
If you want to feel like the end of days is on its way, try one
of these bad boys and you will experience the morning after the
apocalypse within a few short hours. Though it is a great flavored
drink, I would advise proceeding with caution; the end is near.
The alternate reality version ofthis drink includes Jack Daniels,
Jim Beam, Johnny Walker (red) and Jose Cuervo.
An alternative is called “The Four Horsemen and Hell
Follows,” which includes an additional ounce of Everclear,
though why anyone would want to drink that much in one glass
is beyond me.
Campus art stands
test of time
At Clackamas Community College, artwork comes in many
forms. Whether it be strewn across the lawn or posted on the walls,
everywhere you look, there it is.
Left: “The Pencil Tree,” artist unknown at the time of printing.
Right: This plaque has no official title and is simply referred to
as “Cast Bronze Mounted on Cast Cement Plaques, on Brick.” This
design was conceived by landscape artist Andrew Rice in 1993.

it is still very popular in some circles. Known for its tea

If you don’t chug the drink it will curdle into a cottage
like texture, and that is a very, very bad thing.
Now that you have gotten a taste of some of the drinki
sics, don’t let them fall back into obscurity. Salud!
