Of all of the pickup artists

to reference the act of picking
up someone, Lienen says his
favorite is David Deangelo,

called Double Your Dating,
“because he focuses on more
than just the picking up women
aspect of the game and more
on developing yourself as a
whole person.”
Lienen preferred the com

started, “before nobody had
any idea what we were up to,
it’s becoming a sign of our
generation.”
Next term: steampunk,
greasers and vampires.

One thing led to another
and now Bob Cochran is
Clackamas’s new dean of
campus services.
Cochran is a week and
a half into the job as of
today he has had a total
of nine interviews for the
job.
Cochran worked as pub
lic works director for the
city of Fairview for 13
years.
As public works direc
tor he did a lot of work
with the water systems and
parks in Fairview.
“The education arena is
all new to me,” he said.
So far, Cochran said he
has attended a lot of meet
ings and met his staff. He
has 41 employees working
under him.
As dean of campus ser
vices, he is in charge of
maintenance and opera-
tions, as well as building
management and the print
shop.
“The greatest challenge
I’ve heard is doing the
same and more with less,”
Cochran said of the cur
rent budget situation.
Cochran describes him
self as being laid back and
detail oriented.
Although he is not all
business, he admitted that
he has perused the college
catalog and seen some
interesting classes he
might take for self fulfill
ment. He is interested in
art and computer classes.
Cochran and his family
are also very outdoorsy
and enjoy boating, water
skiing and wakeboarding
on the Columbia River in
the summer time.
