The NJCAA gave Clackamas wrestlers a week to recoup as shoulder problems and other
injuries continue to cause problems for the team. After a hard fought loss at last Friday’s
dual (above) and a solid showing at their own tournament the next day, the team contin
ues to feel like their hard work is starting to pay off. The wrestlers are finished with their
home duals for the season, and look to their last meet this Saturday, Jan. 30 in Coos Bay
against South Western Community College. After that, it’s two weeks off to heal shoulder
injuries, etc., and prepare themselves before the regional championships, where qualifiers
will move on to the national tournament. Alex Bubb (157 lbs.) said he looks forward to
some national open tournaments in April, including trips to Las Vegas and Chicago.
