. Hood CC and Chemeketa CC tied for No. 2 in the division
The Clackamas volleyball team
finished a busy stand winning
four games in eight days. Last
Wednesday, Oct. 13, the
Cougars defeated the Mt. Hood
CC Saints 25-30, 30-26, 30-
24, 30-26. Cougar statistical
leaders were: Brianna McLeod
with 17 kills and 22 digs,
Crystal Jeffries with 13 kills and
one ace serve, Karrin Orr with
12 kills and 23 digs and four
ace serves, Samantha Hennessy
with eight kills and Lindsey
Girod-Burgess with 37 digs.
The Cougars are now No. 1 in
the NWAACC Southern Region
with a league record of 7-1,
putting the volleybailers two
full games*ahead of rivals Mt.
Hood CC and Chemeketa CC
who are tied for second with a
league record of 5-3. Tonight,
the Cougars will be at home
against Linn-Benton CC with
game time slated for 7 p.m. in
the Randall gym. (¿EFT) Jeffries

The 2003-04 Clackamas volley­
ball team was awarded the
American Volleyball Coaches’
Association Team Academic
Award. Out of 305 awards
given, Clackamas was one of
only seven community college
squads to receive this award.
