Prey
Follow the life of birds of prey
in this class for adults at the
John Inskeep Environmental
Learning Center at CCC.
Participants will explore the
diet, hunting styles, special
adaptations, and migration
routes of these birds of prey.
Nancy Wallwork teaches the
class, which takes place Oct.
15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
There is an $11 fee.
ELC Seedlings: Animal Tails
These programs are for 3 to
5 year olds accompanied by
an adult. At each meeting
there will be fascinating
facts, a craft, special snack,
tunes, tales, and other sur­
prises revolving around a dif­
ferent nature topic. Animal
Tails will take place from 10
to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 17.
The instructor is Savina
Darzes, and there is an $11
fee.
Costume Sale begins at 9
a.m. and continues until 5
p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, in the
McLoughlin Hall Theatre.
Items will run from $1 to $5,
and during the last two hours
of the sale, it’s possible to fill
a grocery bag for $1. For

The second annual Night
Skies-Night Eyes takes
place from 4 to 10 p.m. Sat.
Oct. 19. at the John Inskeep
Environmental
Learning
Center,
Clackamas
Community
College.
Activities for kids and families
include live birds of prey pro­
grams from Hawk Haven,
Bats of the Northwest, views
from the telescope in the
Haggart Observatory and
night walks along Newell
Creek. The suggested dona­
tion of $5 per family benefits
the ELC and the observatory.
The annual Harvest Run at
Clackamas
Community
College will take place at noon
on Sunday, Oct. 27. The
event features an 8K run
around the college’s scenic
campus and a 2-mile fun run.
Pre-race sign-in takes place
from 10:30 to 11:45~æm. Tfie
entry fee is $15, which
includes a custom-designed
long-sleeve T-shirt. Call 503-
