In Communication Analysis in
Advertising, the Cougars swept
the board with Chris Henry, first,
Jenifer Gile, second and David
Lee, third.
Gile also took first in Informative
and was a finalist in Impromptu.
Lee had two more third place
trophies in Impromptu and Ex
temporary and was a finalist in
Persuasion.
Kerrie Baker-Hughes added
three awards, taking third in
Drama, finalist in Pro Oral Inter
pretation, and second in Poetry.
Laura Pimentel placed second
in After Dinner Speech and was
a finalist in Informative.
Amorita Patterson came home
with a third place trophy in Po-
etry.
Chris Henry was a finalist in
Extemporary. Lee and Patterson
took third in Duo.
The last tournament of the
year will be held at Clackamas,
May 4-5. Competition is sched
uled Friday from 1- 8:30 p.m. and
Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“It’s usually a really fun tour
nament,” said Brennan.
The last tournament doesn’t
change their official school
standings but helps teams sum
up their year.
