Mosho and Pepe are tw<
student writers voicing their
opinions on various topics
surrounding the sports work
While their remarks may be
crude rude or even a little
obscene at times, they are
strictly for entertainment
purposes. If we offend any oj
our readers, too bad. | -
On the status of the NFL:
MOSHO: The court's still out
on this one... it's a hung jury.
PEPE: Money wins, and loyalty
is a thing of the past. The
Chiefs lost and I ceased to
care.
On Vince McMahon's
announcement of the XFL:
MOSHO: I love the man but I
think we've already seen this
one before—Arena Football.
Nobody wants to see it You can
only attract the white trash
viewers so much.
PEPE: Hey we agree on one
thing, White trash TV. XFL,
come on its not enough that we
are subjected to theWWsuck
but now the XFL. Its like lame
and pointless hooked up and
had a child.
On John Rocket's
suspension:
MOSHO: Answer me this,
does this guy belong in the
NFL or the XFL? Everybody's
got an opinion these days and
if an appeal of his suspension
goes through, everybody will
still have an opinion. I'm just
waiting to see what publisher
is going to offer him a book
deal.

Three Cougars move on to nationals

Three Clackamas Wrestlers
placed at the regional tourna
ment last weekend at Coos Bay
and will now step up to com
pete at the National level.
Shawn Keinonen (157),
James Adams (184), and Jason
Pence (174) will now move on
to Rochester Minnesota to the
National Wrestling Tournament
on Feb. 19-20 at Mayo Civic
Center Auditorium.
The team as a whole had a
tough time at the tournament
from the beginning. The teams
that are not placed in the first
or second seats in their weight
class, draw in the beginning of
the tournament to see who they
will wrestle. The team suffered

starting to believe that the
cornrows kid in Ph illy was the
new bad boy on the block.
PEPE: Look here, Rodman
sucks!!!! I mean he did nothing
good for b-ball and only kicks
camera men. On top of that he
can't drive, shoot, score or
pass so why all the hype?
Simple people are pretty stupid.

the first seat, who was never
beaten before and he beat him
6-4 in overtime.”
Although the team was chal
lenged from the beginning of
the tournament, they wrestled
very well. According to coach
Martindale he expected a higher
turnout for the National tour
nament, although he is proud
of the entire year and all that
the Wrestlers contributed.
"It’s kind of disappointing to
only get three guys through, I
had no doubt that we would get
six guys through,” said
Martindale. I thought we had
a great year, we got some
young guys and I thought they
did a great job. We went out
and we were definately the sec
ond or third toughest team.”
