The sun was shining, the breeze
was warm, and sound pulsated
through the college on April 14,
luring students from their classes
to enjoy a little rock, rhythm and
blues. Clackamas was rocked by
three local bands that electrified the
atmosphere during the ASG-spon
sored Spring Fair.
udgen took the center
square from 1-2 p.m. They
brought all the heavy
rockers out. “Metallica” was the
first word forming on the lips of
listeners.
“Brings me back to high school
days, Metallica was in,” said Kevin
Ennis of the band Ennis in Theory.
Gudgen couldn’t have picked a
better band to imitate. Metallica
has been around for awhile and one
could listen to them forever.
Metallica has changed with the
times and if Gudgen is smart they
will keep their image in touch with
Metallica to keep themselves mov
ing toward the top. “Sad, but
True,” “One,” and “Enter Sand
man;” the sound we grew up with.
Grow old with Gudgen, a band that
has a lot of potential in the hard
rock field.
The band formed six years ago.
According to Gudgen lead singer
Shawn Russell, they’ve changed
members many times, but they like
the sound they have now. Andy
Davis was on drums and Tim Baer
brought his intensity to backing
bass. Gudgen strives for an image
of adrenaline and total culture
shock.

festival last Wednesday. Tim Baer [left], backs up his fellow band members on bass. The trio was the third and last band to play during
the three hour event, and made a definite impression on the crowd.
