"We struggled a little bit.
Yet the fight in us kept us go
ing even though we didn't play
as crisp as against Yakima,"
noted Woods.
Clackamas had only 10 hit
ting errors to Highline's 20, giv
ing the Cougars a 6.4-percent
hitting efficiency edge.
Segerstrom led the team
with 17 assists and 12 digs.
Iverson had 13 kills, two service
aces and 11 digs. Filley added
16 kills, 22 digs and three block
shots. Jennifer Dostert blocked
three shots. Misti Murray had
seven assists in one game.
"Against Highline, I
thought Misti-Kae Filley
stepped in and she pounded the
ball, hitting almost 50-percent,"
said Woods.
Clackamas first met rival
Spokane Saturday morning in
four games (16-14,15-3,10-15
and 15-13).
The Cougars started
strong but faltered in the third
game and came from behind in
the fourth, from a 0-4 deficit, to
win the match.
Filley led three Cougars in
double figures in both kills and
digs, with 23 and 36 digs.
Felando and Iverson had 12,24
and 10, 23 respectively.
Segerstrom added nine kills, 38
assists and four service aces.
Six out of the eight Cougars had
15 or more digs in the match.

Bellevue, WA on Dec. 7. The
cost of admission is $4 for stu
dents with ID, seniors, and chil
dren and $5 for adults. There
will be three matches: 3 p.m., 4:15
and 5:30. The matches will be
two out of three.
There will be a banquet on
Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in Gregory Fo
rum. Anyone can attend and
the price is $8 per person.
Woods asks that people who
want to attend let her know as
soon as possible.
(Note: In last week's volleyball
story there were two errors: Their
last game was against Chemeketa
and Chris Younglove, not Amy
Felando, will be in the Sopho
more All-Star match.)

Clackamas will hold the 6th
Annual Softball Hitting Clinic
for girls ages 13 to 18 on Jan. 26
or Jan. 27 for three hours.
The cost is $25 per par
ticipant. (Because this camp
fills early, no refunds will be
made for cancellations after
Jan. 22.)
Instruction will include
bunting, slapping and hitting
fundamentals.
The camp will be video
taped, and the participants will
be able to go over the tapes of
their practice with a coach or
player from Clackamas women's
softball team.
The time will be determined
in the future and participants will
be notified.

Softball Camp
Clackamas will be offering
a softball camp on Jan. 6,13 and
20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The cost is $20 per person.
Instruction in pitching, bunting,
slapping, fielding and throwing
will be provided by the Cougar
softball team and its coaches.
The Clackamas Print did not run a normal paper this week
because of the number of students who take an extra day for
their Thanksgiving holiday. However, we felt the volleyball
team's winning the championship needed covered this week.
