This cult icon trilogy con

immediately hailed as the “prom
ised one.” Once again, the
Necronomicon is the culprit, and
Ash is expected to deliver a castle
full of eager followers from the
evils of forces known as the
“Deadites.”> Note: we are not
dealing with originality, just a
cool, yet corny, version of an over
done plotline. Groovy.
In addition to the overall
tongue-in-cheek comedy aspect of
the film, Army of Darkness sports
an interesting soundtrack by
Danny Elfman (formerly of
Oingo Boingo). Despite its obvi
ous inaccuracies (like the fact that
Ash never reloads his rifle
throughout the 33-shot ending
sequence), this movie provides a
substantial ending to a trilogy that
has become a cornerstone in the
horror film industry. Not only is
it the perfect pick for that Hal
loween eve entertainment, the
Evil Dead series will provide
much needed insight for witch
ing-hour strategies. Just don’t
hack apart the kids in sheets.
Halloween at ccc
Halloween is tomorrow night and,
because Halloween is basically a night for
children, there is not much for college
students to do — at least that is what we
thought.
The Print asked several people what
they were planning for Halloween,
including 19-year-old pole vaulters Will
Jones (left) and Vasili Tsirimiagos (right).
“We are going to dress up as women
and hunt for a party,” they replied.
Most students who were asked also
said they would be out on the town
looking for a party, but Softball Coach
Paul Fiskum said, “It’s pretty much a kids’
night. ” He and his wife plan to take their
children to a neighborhood pumpkin
carving party and then out trick-or-
treating.
