Will God still love BSM after this?

I have never before ex
pressed my opinions in The Print.
Anyone who knows me knows
that I have to be pretty angry or
feel awfully strong about a subject
before I will push my opinions
upon a group of people.
Thanks to the Baptist
Student Ministries, I am finally
angry enough to write about
somethingl see as wrong. Last
week, BSM put up some posters
around campus, advertising a
speaker they were sponsoring. I
am all for interesting, catchy ad
vertising phrases as long as they
are harmless. It’s only when
phrases sterotype and discredit a
group of people that I get mad.
InoneofBSM's posters,
they use the phrase “Drugs, Al
cohol, Homosexuality.” Upon
reading this first poster, my first
thought was that there must be
some sort of connection between
drugs, alcohol and homosexual
ity. Is there something that the
BSM knows that they haven’t
been telling the rest of the world?
I was told that another
poster used the term “cured,” in
relation to homosexuality. Does
BSM actually believe that homo
sexuality can be compared to a
disease that can be cured?
I’d like to know when
BSM quit representing God and
started playing Him. Do they
honestly believe that there is a
direct link between homosexuals,
drugs and alcohol? I think that if
there was a chance these sub
stances lead to homosexuality,

about the God that is represented
in these posters? Would they
really want to have apart in that?

A test score is simply a
measure of how well a student has
learned the given material cov
ered in the course. It is not an
analysis of your worth as a human
being. However, like it or not,
tests are what instructors use
around campus to rate our ability
to retain information. All stu
dents have room for improve
ment.
Top 5 drum roll please......
1. Before the test make
flash cards. These are handy
because they can go just about
anywhere. They are small and
you can cover vital material a lot
quicker than going through the
text again and again.
2. During the test, answer
the easiest questions first. For
multiplechoicequestions, answer
the questions in your head before
going to the selections. This will
help you go with your first
instinct You'll feel a lotmore con
fident about your answer.
3. Anxiety before a test can
be rough. It sounds silly, but it's
important to visualize success.
Like it or not, we live up to our
own expectations, good or bad.
4. If you have to cram for a
test (of course this doesn't apply
to you) don't try to learn every
thing. Concentrate on the impor
tant things and focus your cram
ming.
5. Study with a group.
You'll feel the peer pressuré and
stay caught up.
