NOW, HAROLD'S HEAD SHOP TA5 MAIN STREET PRESENTS On Tuesday, April 19, voters will be asked to approve the 1977-78 operating budget for Clackamas Community College. The college has no tax base and must have local approval for an operating levy each year. The present tax rate for operation of the college is $1.46 per thousand dollars true cash value. According to college officials, that rate will not be increased if the operating levy ($3.58 million) is approved by voters» April 19. This week the Cougar Print interviewed 74 residents of Clackamas County in an attempt to "sniff which way the wind is blowing." All were non-students. All were registered voters. The question asked was this: "Will you vote for or against the CCC operational levy on April 19?" another thrilling episode t "R ick ranger , dope smuggler "! Results: "Is it that soon?" "How much this time?" "Vote against" "Not sure" It is an unfortunate fact of local government that only those "opposed" turn out to vote. Those in favor sit home all too often watching "Disneyland" and pay lip-service to the issue. Education (at least at CCC) may be the one com modity that hasn't increased in price this year. Archie Bunker probably isn't registered. Get up! Students encouraged To the Editor: PUBLICATIONS STAFF 19600 S.
