arrested
for obcenity
Associated Student Government President
Charlie Bennett was arrested last Monday
on charges of indecent exposure and making
lewd and obscene gestures.
The arrest stemmed from his attempts to
publicize ASG's refusal to recognize the
Mooning Club as a legitimate organization
within student government at Clackamas
Community College.
The Mooning Club is the latest in a
series of controversial clubs that Bennett
has attempted to approve thr ou gh student
government.
Bennett 's lewd act was the act that he is
currently advocating. The ac t of mooning
requires that the person doing it drops his
or her trousers while bending forwards and
grabbing his or her ankles .
Bennett chose noon to protest the denial
of his club while followers of this cu lt
(Moonies), stood around him and yelled,
"red eye" over and over.
Among other stunts pulled by Bennett
in the name of dissention have included
running dirty underwear up the flagpole in
honor of the inventi on of elastic bands and
attempting to start beast iality and necro-
phialiac clubs at CCC.
In an exclusive interview with the Cougar
Print Bennett related his views as to why
he was incarcerated.
"They're out to get me," said Bennett.
Bennett refused to comment on whether
his involvement with marijuan a reform has
anything to do with his bizarre be hav ior.

NORM L members who are in agreement
with Bennett's policies have broken with
the main body of the organization and
formed a splinter group entitled Advocates
of Bennett in the National Organization for
the Reform of Marijuana Laws (ABNORM L).
ABNO RM L spokesman Jim Rogers said
Wednesday, that "it got to a point where
we had to do something. NORML was going
to pot."
Rogers, past president of the Organiza-
tion to Undermine Clackamas High (OUCH)
will serve as vice-president of ABNORML
until July, when he will undergo surgery to
separate his left foot from his tonsils.
