Ethics added
This spring term will see an evening class
added to the schedule. Elementary Ethics
(Phil-202) will be taught Monday nights 7
to 10 p.m. by Mayo Roy, philosophy and
psychology instructor.
The class will study early and later works
of John Dewey, American educator and
father of progressive education. Texts in
clude "Human Nature and Conduct" and an
earlier book by Dewey dealing with Ameri
can Ethics. Much of the class period will be
devoted to open discussion.
Roy also added that her Problems of
Philosophy (Phil 201) class will be scheduled
an hour earlier next term. The shift to
11 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday was
made in order that more students could
adjust their schedules to include this begin
ning philosophy course.
Board openings
Two positions on the Clackamas Com
munity College Area Education District
Board will be open for election onTuesday,
April 19.
Interested persons seeking election to
these positions must file with the county
elections department no later than March
15.
The two available positions (non-salaried)
are currently held by Roger Rook (Zone 3)
and Bonnie Jones (Zone 6). Both positions
are four-year terms and begin July 1, 1977.
In order to file, a petition with 25
registered voters must be secured from with
in the district or $10 can be paid as a filing
fee.
Zone 3 includes the following precinct
numbers: 37, 38, 39, 441, 443, 505, 526,
530, 531, 532, 533, 534, 535, 536, 550,
552, 553, 555, 556, and 557.
Zone 6 includes the following precinct
numbers: 106, 353, 354, 355, 356, 361,
362, 363, 364, 365, 366, 402, 442, 575,
576, 577, 578, 581, 582, 583, and 585.

Crime report
A camera bag with camera gear inside it
was stolen from the Publications Trailer
after'4 p.m. on Feb. 14.
The stolen items included: a Minolta
SR-T101 camera; a Honeywell telephoto
lens; a Honeywell electronic strobe and a
self timer.
Thirty-one tickets were given out last
week. Six were for parking in the handi
capped area, two were for parking on the
grass and 14 were for parking in unauthori
zed areas. Two were for parking in the visi
tors area and seven were for parking in
loading zones.

For students interested in or majoring in
Human Services, Clackamas Community Col
lege offers a Human Service Practicum class
(HS 38) and Human Services work experi
ence (HS 41).

The class is taught by Instructor/Planner-
Evaluator, Jerry Jamison and offers students
the chance to experience working in the
human services field.
"It offers practical experience in a com
munity," said Jamison, "because it gives
the opportunity to achieve work experience
in local agencies and receive credit hours."
Not only do students have the opportu
nity to experience working in the field, but
persons in the social services area can also
volunteer and receive credits. Jamison said
regular employees in the Human Services
field are eligible as long as a full-time job is
held.
Special meeting
Clackamas Community College's Board
of Education will meet in a special execu
tive session to discuss personnel matters
and salary negotiations at Bowmans at
Mount Hood Saturday, February 26, at
9:30 a.m.
Correction
In spite of previous information, the
Cooperative Work Experience (Secretarial
Department) class being offered this spring
at Clackamas Community College is not
required for any other classes. The class will
include 13 hours of on-the-job training,
and will be held in Trailer D.
Bloodmobile
The Red Cross Bloodmobile Unit which
was in the Community Center building last
