The game, one of twoJ coming events, was won by the Cougars by a score of 17-13. It Clackamas Community College's football team boosted their win-loss record to 5-4 for the season in their game Saturday as they de­ feated Grays Harbor 17-13. Clackamas' scoring began just five min­ utes into the first quarter with a 92 yard drive. In the drive, quarterback Pat Moran passed the ball twice to receivers J.B. Bur­ ton (13 yard pass) and to Steve Rumrey for a 26 yarder. The Cougar squad rushed the ball eight times with Andy Phillips finishing the Cou­ gar score with a seven yard dash into the end zone. Buddy Patnode kicked in the extra point giving the Cougars a 7-0 lead. Early in the second period. Patnode booted a 28 yard field goal giving the Cou­ gars a 10 point lead. The Cougars' strong defense supported them throughout the first half. There were three fumble recoveries; Bill Sehorn made a fumble recovery on the Cougars' 16 yard Treasure Valley: last game Saturday the Clackamas Community Col­ lege football squad will travel to Ontario, Oregon to take on Treasure Valley Com­ munity College in the two school's tradi­ tional season-end clash. The Treasure Valley Chuckers are 1-6 for the 76 season prior to their Nov. 6 game. The Treasure Valley series has been a close one over the years with the Chuckers holding a 3-2 edge. Past scores are: 1971, Treasure Valley 42-6; 1972, Treasure Val­ ley, 19-13, 1973, Clackamas, 26-14; 1974, Clackamas, 25-24; and 1975, Treasure Val­ ley, 34-20. The Clackamas passing attack has shown signs of regaining its brilliance of the past during the last two games. Thus far this season, the Cougars have been basically a running team, but now they once again have a balanced attack. This balance, plus the tenacious defense, gives hope for the rest of the season.
