    Services offered CCC students
Transportation this year to Clackamas
•nmunity College on Tri-Met busses should
basically the same as last year with the
:eption of a few schedule changes.
These changes go into effect on September
, jjjst one day before classes begin. The
n bus schedules are now available in the
dent center for those students who ride
i bus and would like to check-up on the
ledule changes.
For those students with small children
io would be interested in utilizing the day
e facilities on campus there are two dif-
ent programs available. The first, child
velopment and basic educational training
iter for long term daily care of children
tween the ages of 3 and 6, is for full time
idents attending CCC. In this program the
ildren are required to attend the center
>m 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The cost is
. per week which includes lunch and two
acks each day. If a student is unable to
ford the cost, lower prices are available
' contacting Dick Thompson in the fin-
cial aid office. Any students interested
the child development program can get
additional information from Eric Mihata,
ext. 234.
The second program available is a drop-
in center for short term care of three hours
or less each day. Children attending the drop
in center must be between 3 months and
6 years old. The cost is $.60 per day which
includes snacks. For more information con
tact Karen George, ext. 326.
Any students interested in applying for
financial aid that haven't already done so
should contact the financial aid office im
mediately. There are also work-study and
part-time jobs available on campus through
the job placement center.
There's never a dull moment at CCC so
any students finding themselves bored by
the tedium of school can try looking into
some of the activities happening on campus
this year. There is a barrage of intramural
sports for both men and women again this
year. For information on any or all of these
sports contact Les Tipton in the Art depart
ment.
For students who aren't jocks at heart
there are several active clubs on campus
ranging from Ouy Ka Lah to Phi Beta
Lambda.
Students can get information
on these and other clubs from the Student
Activities Office.
