Staff Writer Forming a line that seems to go on forever, the cars ride each others’ bumpers to the horizon. Heat waves' from hot engines seem to make the streams of headlights and tail-lights dance and wave. The row of dim pinkish street lamps that run down each side of the road seem to fence the cars in the boun daries of the game. Screaming, chromed street machines whine and protest at being stuck in line. It is another weekend of cruising on 82nd Avenue. “Cruising,” you say. It brings back memories of what an older sibling did while you killed time disco-rollerskating during your junior high school days. How old it sounds, as worn out as your Levis you tore the crotch out of. You may scoff, but have you tried it lately? It’s been a while since I’d run out to 82nd, but I thought I’d give it a whirl. My friend and I combed our hair, put some oil in the engine, stuck my key into the ignition and went along on our merry way. Upon arrival we an ticipated fun and excitement, it’s sort of like being on Wheel of Fortune. It’s really quite an interesting alternative if you don’t feel like dancing, going to a movie, and are too young to go bar-hopping. There is quite a bit of entertain ment involved in cruising. Star ting with a positive attitude, is a plus. It is inevitable you will run across someone (or you may think that someone is a something) you find unfavorable Clackamas Community College
