By Julie Miller

Joanne Ineman, a transfer
student to Clackamas this year
from the University of
Arizona has signed a letter of
intent to go to school at Loui-
sianna State University next
year.
“I am nervous about going
there. They are really good
and I really had to challenge
myself to go there. Other
schools that are good aren’t as
competitive. I can hardly
believe I am going there. I’ve
been working out and I’m in
the best condition, in some
ways I am going to miss
Oregon but not the weather.
Joanne went to high school
at Olmstead Falls High School
in Ohio and graduated in
1982. Her freshman year in
high school, Joanne averaged
18 points a game. She received
honors like Most valuable
player of the Southwest Con
ference, Plain Dealer Player of
the year, and All-Press Player
of the Year.
Ineman won those three
awards for four years running.
She was also named All-State
Honorable mention and her
team was ranked number one
in the State of Ohio with a
20-0 record. Her sophomore
year she averaged 28 points

$21000
That’s Army math. It means that after 2 years of
college (60 semester hours or equivalent) and a 2-year
enlistment, you could have up to $21,000 to continue
your education. Courtesy of the New GI Bill + New
Army College Fund. (Effective July 1,1985).
That other 2 means you can get two years of
ROTC credit by enrolling in ROTC at the third year
level (with the approval of the college’s Professor of
Military Science) when you reenter college. You’ll earn
$100 a month in ROTC.
Qualify, and you’ll start your enlistment with a
promotion. And just because you’re out of school
doesn’t mean you stop learning. We’ll teach you a skill
that can help you go places later.
And you’ll go places now, because we give soldiers
an opportunity to travel. And a chance to make new
friends.
Not to mention a lot of money for college. Plus the
chance to become an Army officer. Contact your local
Army Recruiter today.
