"There are students here that don't even know there is a stu dent government much less that there going to be elections," she said. "I know something has to be done to get more students involved but I don't feel like I can make any definite sugges tions right now." To begin with, Montgomery wants to concentrate her time and evergy in doing the best job she can as business manager and then she intends to get involved in other areas that concern stu dents, she said. Kearney is presently involved with CCOSAC and has spent a great deal of her time working with this program. Sherrie Montgomery is a bus iness major at the College and wants to be A S G Business Manager because she wants to get involved in student govern ment and feels that with her past experience she can best serve the students in this role. Montgomery has developed and implemented programs at the Albina alternative sbhool in Portland where she was directly involved in leadership and man agement During her eight years in the business world she has written budget proposels dealing with millions of dollars and has been in charge of the day-to-day dis bursement of these funds. Women between 18 and 25 years of age are invited to be come volunteers for the United Service Organizations, Inc.(USO). The women will become in volved in various programs such as dances, travel film shows and socializing. All of our volunteers set their own participation level, as to programs and time.
