In other business the board
approved:
-- hiring of Tsuyoshi Inouye
as data processing officer, to
fill a vacancy in that position.
-- authorization of the pur­
chase of three additional auto­
matic doors for the sum of
$5,651.
- a formal expression of the
boards appreciation of the work
of the Finance Study Committee,
chaired by Dan Faddis, and that
of the Citizens' Election Steer­
ing Committee, chaired by Ben
Hansen, in the success of the
rate-based serial levy election,
April 4.
-- annual application for fund­
ing of the college's adult educa­
tion programs.
-- award of bid to IBM for one
memory typewriter for instruct­
ional use, for the sum of $5,260.
-- to pay selected full-time
faculty who will be teaching
summer session at the daily rate
of the current year's salary, i.e.,
the 1978 summer session salary
will be a daily rate for each in­
dividual based on the 1977-78
salary schedule. The full daily
rate is to be based on a full load
and the hours put in per week
are to be the same as during the
regular school year.
The board also set May 5 and
6 as d^tes for a board workshop
staff development.
