A great habit to pick up
Lincoln City’s Driftwood Public Library
is now off ering no-contact curbside pickup,
allowing patrons to pick up items at the
library’s staff entrance on Galley Street, on
the west side of the building.
Th e service is available to any Driftwood
cardholder with an account in good
standing (owing than $25 in item fees) and
is limited to one visit per household per
week and 10 items per card. Library patrons
can request items through the online catalog
at encore.oceanbooks.org, contact the library
by phone at 541-996-2277, or email the
library at librarian@lincolncity.org. Once the
items are available, staff will contact patrons
to schedule a pick up appointment time.

Library has summer covered
Imagination doesn’t have an expiration
date, so readers of all ages are invited to take
part in the “Imagine Your Story” summer
reading activities on off er from Newport
Public Library.
Th e program runs from Monday, June 1,
through Friday, Aug. 31, with activity kits
and summer reading packets distributed
every month through the Library Take Out
service. To schedule an appointment, call at
541-265-2153.
Reading program participants are asked
to track the books they read or listen to and
fi ll out a raffl e ticket for each one. Library
staff will draw tickets for prizes on the
last day of June, July and August, with the
winners getting to choose a themed basket of
prizes. Participants who get a bingo on their
Book Bingo Sheet will be entered to win
additional prizes.
