warning of “Here be Dragons.” But
this week, we are looking beyond our
normal horizons to bring you news
of Live Culture Coast — a 10-day
celebration of the natural world,
artistic endeavor and the glorious
arts of fermentation.
With some 90 stops from
Reedsport all the way south to
Brookings, the festival highlights

the importance of place and how it
aff ects everything from the songs we
sing to the art we create to the beer
we brew.
Events like coff ee-roasting
demonstrations and wine tastings
share a packed schedule with
painting workshops, live music
and outdoor activities, giving all
participants the chance to build their
own itinerary.
And Oregon Coast TODAY is
proud to be providing one of the
activities that helps tie the festival
together, the fi rst in our new series
of Cache the Coast geocaching
contests. With caches hidden at
some 35 of the festival stops, the
contest encourages visitors to plan
their own route and get in the
running for great prizes.
